In this website, we provide several Computer Vision tools to support transportation researchers to study and analyze traffic videos. Each tool is described below, and is accompanied with download links of the zip package and the testing data. Please see the documentation of each tool for instructions on how to run and use them.
Synchronized Multi-Video Player
This software can open and play two videos simultaneously. It can be
used to study traffic videos that capture the same scene, but were taken
from different camera angles. A user can control the video speed, or
seek the video frame by frame to study the videos.

Crosswalk Incident Detection
This software detects and highlights traffic incidents in crosswalk video. This software loads the video and allows users to draw on the video to define crosswalk and lane regions. The software will then perform object tracking on moving objects in the video and log all incidents such as a car gets too close to a pedestrian. The user can then browse these incidents to study the interaction between vehicles and crossing pedestrians in crosswalk videos.

Bicyclist Detection
This software detects and highlight bicyclists in crossroad video. It loads the video and allows users to define a rectangular region on the video where bicyclists usually appear (Example: stop-lane near red light). The software then perform object tracking on moving objects and log all video frames where a bicyclist is detected. The user can then browse these frames to study the interaction between bicyclists and cars at red light.

Other resources
The following tools are used to perform background subtraction, file renaming, and object tracking. Please note that MFC Background Subtraction and Tracking Tool are external resources. The copyrights belong to the owners of those tools. We provide both links to the original website and the pre-compiled binaries file for the convenience of users.
